Anonymous VPN Recenzie: Rezulatul expertului
Anonymous VPN is pretty secure, has decent speeds on local servers, comes with easy-to-use apps, and is an ok choice for torrenting, but there are better VPNs out there (ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access are my favorite brands in 2022).
While Anonymous VPN protects user data with industry-standard VPN security features like 256-bit AES encryption, full leak protection, and a no-logs policy, there are no advanced features like perfect forward secrecy, and there are no extra features like split-tunneling.
Plus, it’s awful for streaming, it has slow speeds on distant servers, it doesn’t have a native app for iOS, it’s missing live chat, it doesn’t have any servers in the US, and it has a lousy refund policy.
Anonymous VPN only allows 3 simultaneous connections (the industry average is 5-7), has expensive plans, and backs each purchase with a 14-day money-back guarantee, but you’re only eligible for a refund if you’ve made less than 100 connections and have used less than 500 MB of data, which is only enough for an 1 or 2 of browsing.

Anonymous VPN Full Review
I spent weeks researching and testing Anonymous VPN to see how it compares to the best VPNs on the market.
I think Anonymous VPN is OK for general browsing and torrenting — it supports torrenting on all of its servers, works with top torrent clients, has good downloading speeds on nearby servers, doesn’t log what files you download, and doesn’t leak your data.
But Anonymous VPN doesn’t include any high-level security features or cool extra features, and it doesn’t work with any of the popular streaming apps, including Netflix. And while Anonymous VPN comes with intuitive apps for Android, Windows, and Macs, there’s no iOS app (if you’re looking for a good VPN for your iPhone or iPad, check out our list of the best iOS VPNs in 2022).
Overall, Anonymous VPN is pretty secure and has good speeds on local servers for some online activities, but it fails to meet the expectations I look for in a top-notch VPN.
Anonymous VPN Features
Anonymous VPN has the following industry-standard VPN security features:
- 256-bit AES encryption — Protects user data with the same encryption used by banks and governments.
- No-logs policy — Doesn’t collect data about the websites you visit or the files you download.
- Kill switch — If your connection to a VPN server disconnects, a kill switch automatically disconnects you from the internet to prevent data leaks. However, it’s only available on Windows (I like how Private Internet Access has a kill switch for iOS, Windows, and macOS.
Anonymous VPN uses OpenVPN and IKEv2/IPSec protocols. They’re both fast and secure, but Wireguard is much faster than OpenVPN and IKEv2/IPSec. Other VPNs that offer WireGuard, like Private Internet Access, ProtonVPN, and CyberGhost VPN, all provide some of the fastest speeds out there, so I’d like to see Anonymous VPN add WireGuard in the future.
I’m a fan of how Anonymous VPN comes with full leak protection against IPv6, DNS, and WebRTC leaks — but just to make 100% sure, I ran a leak test on a server in each of Anonymous VPN’s 20+ countries, and I was impressed that none of the servers reported any leaks.
Overall, Anonymous VPN provides all of the basic security features, but you don’t get anything else. I’d like to see the provider add advanced features like RAM-only servers and perfect forward secrecy, and convenient extra features like split-tunneling, an ad blocker, and a built-in speed test.
Anonymous VPN Privacy & Security
Anonymous VPN is based in Gibraltar, which is a territory of Great Britain and is a member of the 5/9/14 Eyes Alliance (a group of countries that share security data). But since Anonymous VPN doesn’t collect and store personal data, even if the government demands user data, Anonymous VPN wouldn’t have any to turn over.
Overall, Anonymous VPN has a strict no-logs policy, but it hasn’t been verified.
Anonymous VPN Speed & Performance
I ran speed tests on my Windows PC on a server in all 20+ countries where Anonymous VPN has a server. I experienced the fastest speeds when connected to a nearby server in Canada (I live in the US, but Anonymous VPN doesn’t have any servers in the US), but I encountered slower speeds when connected to a server on the other side of the world from me.
First I ran a speed test without being connected to a VPN to determine my baseline speed:
Then, I used the quick connect feature, which automatically connected me to the best server based on my location (I was connected to a server in Canada). Here are my speeds:
And here are my speeds connected to a distant server in Australia.
When I connected to the closest server to me (in Canada), my speeds only dropped by about 18%, which is pretty good — websites loaded in 1-3 seconds, I watch HD videos on YouTube without buffering, and it took me about 20 minutes to download a 10 GB torrent file, which is decent.
When I connected to a server in Australia, my speeds were only reduced by about 22%, but websites took up to 5 seconds to load, my HD YouTube videos took 5-7 seconds to start, and the same 10 GB file took around 40 minutes to download.
Overall, Anonymous VPN has good speeds on nearby servers, but I was not happy with some of the significant slowdowns I experienced on distant servers.
Anonymous VPN Servers & IP Addresses
Anonymous VPN has an unspecified number of servers in 20+ countries. I reached out to customer support to try and clarify Anonymous VPN’s server count but was told there are “several servers” in each location. This is an unacceptable lack of transparency when almost all of the top VPNs on the market have public server counts that are updated regularly.
Also, almost 75% of Anonymous VPN’s servers are located in Europe, leaving many parts of the world without a nearby server to connect to for the fastest speeds — and shockingly, Anonymous VPN is one of the only VPNs I’ve ever tested that doesn’t have a server in the US! Instead, I prefer VPNs like CyberGhost VPN (8100+ servers in 90+ countries) or ExpressVPN (3,000+ servers in 90+ countries) that offer servers that are spread out all over the globe, including in the US.
I like that Anonymous VPN allows torrenting on all its servers. Some VPNs only allow P2P traffic on servers in a few countries. For example, HMA VPN has servers in 210+ countries but only allows file sharing in 6 countries.
Overall, Anonymous VPN doesn’t publish a full server count, and it only has servers in 20+ countries (and doesn’t have a server in the US), but it does allow torrenting on all of its servers.
Anonymous VPN Streaming & Torrenting
Anonymous VPN is terrible for streaming. It’s unable to access any of the top streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime. And since there’s no server in the US, Anonymous VPN doesn’t work with Hulu, HBO Max, ABC, CrunchyRoll, and many others.
Anonymous VPN is pretty good for torrenting. In addition to supporting torrenting on all of its servers in 20+ countries, Anonymous VPN also works with top torrenting apps like BitTorrent, uTorrent, and Vuze.
Overall, Anonymous VPN isn’t good for streaming and is just OK for torrenting. It can’t access popular streaming sites but allows torrenting on all of its servers.
Anonymous VPN Plans & Pricing
Anonymous VPN has monthly and yearly plans, as well as an option for a cheap daily trial. And all plans allow only 3 simultaneous connections (the industry standard of 5-7 connections), making it a poor choice for large households or people with many devices. My top picks for people who need a lot of connections are Private Internet Access (allows 10 connections) and IPVanish (allows unlimited connections).
Anonymous VPN’s prices start at 12,00 $ / lună, which is expensive, especially considering the lack of features you get and the basic functionality it provides. ExpressVPN, Private Internet Access, and CyberGhost VPN all offer a better value.
Anonymous VPN only accepts credit/debit cards for payment and backs its monthly and yearly plans with a 14-day money-back guarantee. However, I don’t like that you only qualify for the refund if you made less than 100 connections and haven’t used more than 500 MB of data, which is enough for just 1-2 hours of browsing.
Anonymous VPN Ease of Use: Mobile & Desktop Apps
Anonymous VPN has very simple and easy-to-use apps for Android, Windows, and macOS.
It does support iOS via a third-party app (OpenVPN app), but it requires manual configurations and downloading extra files to change server locations — the process is not easy for beginners, and it took me 10 minutes and 2 different attempts to add Anonymous VPN on my iPhone. If you’re looking for the best iOS VPNs, check out our list here (ExpressVPN is the best).
However, I like the simple design of the Android app, and the only issue I had was when the app didn’t let me log in with my password. Thankfully, all I had to do was change my account password to resolve the issue.
I didn’t experience any issues with the desktop app and was able to quickly connect to a server. The Windows and macOS apps have the same interface, but only the Windows app includes a kill switch.
Overall, Anonymous VPN has easy-to-use and secure apps for Android, Windows, and macOS, but there’s no native app for iOS.
Anonymous VPN Customer Support
Anonymous VPN offers customer support via email, frequently asked questions (FAQ), and support articles, but it doesn’t offer live chat.
Anonymous VPN’s email support representatives are incredibly responsive and answered all of my questions. My support tickets were answered within 2-4 hours, and sometimes in less than an hour, which is very impressive (most VPNs respond within 6-8 hours). Still, I prefer 24/7 live chat over email — you get answers immediately to your questions. ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access have excellent 24/7 live chat support with friendly and knowledgeable representatives.
I had to contact email support a lot because Anonymous VPN’s FAQ page and support articles only answer simple questions about your account, how to install the VPN, and how a VPN works. They don’t cover more in-depth topics like security features and connection protocols.
Overall, Anonymous VPN’s customer support is decent. Its email support is good, but the FAQs and support articles lack in-depth information, and there’s no live chat.
Is Anonymous VPN Any Good?
Anonymous VPN has all of the essential VPN security features, decent torrenting support, good speeds on local servers, and user-friendly apps for Android, Windows, and Macs, but there are other VPNs that offer a much better value.
Anonymous VPN protects your data with industry-standard VPN security features like 256-bit AES encryption, full leak protection, and a no-logs policy.
But Anonymous VPN doesn’t have any high-end security features like perfect forward secrecy, it doesn’t have any extra features like split-tunneling or an ad blocker, and it doesn’t work with any of the top streaming sites like Netflix.
Also, Anonymous VPN’s kill switch only comes with Windows, there’s no native iOS app, there are no servers in the US (and many other regions outside of Europe), and there’s no live chat support.
Anonymous VPN only allows 3 simultaneous connections, offers a cheap trial plan, pricey monthly and yearly plans, and covers the monthly and yearly plan with a 14-day money-back guarantee — but only if you made less than 100 connections and used less than a meager 500 MB of data.
